Davao United Football Team Reach Quarterfinals Of Singapore Cup 2018

Twelve young football players brought honors to Davao City after they reached the quarterfinals in a tough football tournament in Singapore last November 3-4.
The team made up of some of the top young football players made a splash in the eight and under division of Singapore Cup 2018.
The team dubbed as Davao United Football Club ended their campaign in the tournament with a 3-1 record in the quarterfinals after losing to a Spanish football club.
The trip of the young football players in Singapore was organized by Marcus Paulo Risonar.
The team coached by Nicholas Chavez are composed of Sean Timothy Basilio, Keean Jayz Castro, Noah Chavez, Dennis Dimaano, Mark Amiel Gecomo, Dan Wilbur Pañares, Jonathan Ryan Puno, Edward Seth Reyes, Ethan Sky Reyes,Marcus Gabriel Risona, Chac Llyr Unson and Euno Ngo Monroid.
The parents of the young football team were very happy with their recent achievement in Singapore.

Southshield, Hyenas FCs Capture Championship Crowns In Pinas Cup 2018 In Pampanga


Two fast rising football clubs brought honor to Davao City after they won the championships in a recent national football tournament in Clark Freeport,Pampanga.
The Southshied Football Club won the 12 and under division of Pinas Cup held last October 27-30.
The team who are composed mostly of players from Southpoint School in Barangay Maa beat 25 others team in the tournament to emerge as champion in the prestigious football tournament.
The team who got some reinforcements from other football clubs in Davao City also went undefeated in the duration of the three-day tournament.
Southshield coached by former University of Mindanao football players AJ Adana and Roland Manabit beat Siklab FC 1-0 in a thrilling penaly shoot-out.
Siklab FC are composed of players from Makati FC.
Kian Terrence Niu scored the lone goal for Southshield FC in their championship win over Siklab FC.
Niu captured the most valuable player award for helping his team in their win.
The other members of the Southshield football team are the following: Cian Martini Nogadas,EJ Cabiles, Carlos Angelo Lacerna, Andrei Joshua Guingguing, Niel Imperial, Alchie Jan Campaña, Wyatt Arwin Gok-ong, Karl Sumampong, Zyk Lopez, Charles Kenn Chiu, Victor Lagundi, Matthaeus Henricus Lim, Devon Kierulf, Cristo Kenya Castillo, Julio Antonio Yoldi, and Ethan Zachary Basilio.



The players and coaches of Southshield Football Club were all smiles after ruling the 12 and under division of Pinas Cup held last October 27-30 in  Clark Freeport,Pampanga.


The team reached the finals earlier after beating Higala FC from Cagayan de Oro City in the semifinals 3-1.
Meanwhile, the Hyenas Football Club also won the 10 and under division of the same tournament.
Hyenas beat Don Bosco Victorias FC from Bacolod City in the finals 3-0 to win the championship crown.
Jakob Guingguing and Anthony Elorde delivered the 2 and 1 goals respectively in their win over the Central Visayas football powerhouse.

Guinguing also emerged as MVP in the division participated in by 17 teams all over the Philippines.

The team coached by Jefferson "Wang" Manzanares and Roland Balot Manabit are also composed of Psalm Loquero, Daniel Pe Benito, Jose Nuenay, Austin Dilodilo, Norbert Marfe, Harold Parlero, Karlos Donado, Zean Gabriel Delos Reyes, Jian Goyonan, Jilliana Dagpin, Gabriel Alar, Raphael Dumandagan, Christoff Demandante.


The parents of players in the champion teams were very happy with their victory.
Carlo Chiu, the president of Southshield said their victory is a strong indication that football is fast rising sport in Davao City.
