Southshield Football Club Wins Football Tourney In CDO


The nine under team of Southshield Football Club has won the championship in the 14th Rosevale Football Festival in Cagayan de Oro City last January 26.


A fast rising football club in Davao City recently brought honors to the city after it won a prestigious national football tournament in Cagayan de Oro City last January 26,2019.
The nine and under team of Southshield Football Club won the championship in  the 14th Rosevale Football Festival in Cagayan de Oro City.
The visiting team coached by Jacinth Ibanez beat the host school Rosevale B 2-0 to win the crown.
The tournament features some of the top football teams in the Philippines.
The winning goals for Southshield were provided by strikers Kean Jayz Castro and tournament most valuable player Dan Wilbur Panares.
The other members of the champion team were the following: Jonathan Ryan Puno, Sean Timothy Basilio, Mark Amiel Gecomo, Aquiles Quinones and Leo Vince Sungkip.
Carlo Chiu, the president of Southshield Football Club is very happy with their win since their decision to spend money and travel in Cagayan de Oro has been rewarded with a win.
Southshield Football Club has won several tournaments outside the city last year including the Pinas Cup in Subic, Zambales wherein the team was even recognized by the Davao City Council for bringing honor to the city.

Davao City Wins 13 and under Futsal Tourney In Batang Pinoy 2019

The Davao City Durians boys 13 under futsal team has won the gold in the ongoing Batang Pinoy Mindanao Qualifying leg in at the Barangay San Miguel Gym in Tagum City.

The Davao City Durians 13 and under boys futsal team has won the gold at the ongoing 2019 Batang Pinoy Mindanao Qualifying Leg at the Barangay San Miguel Gym in Tagum City.
The team coached by former University of Mindanao soccer player AJ Adana won the gold after going undefeated in the double round robin tournament featuring some of the top futsal teams all over Mindanao.
Davao City won four games in the tournament without a single defeat to win the gold and the chance to represent Mindanao in the Batang Pinoy national finals in October in Bohol.
Davao City defeated Hagonoy, Davao del Sur 7-0, and Tagum City Tagumpay 8-3 in the first day of the tournament.
In the medal round, Davao City again beat Tagum City 3-2 and Hagonoy again 5-1.
Overall, Tagum City got the silver and Hagonoy got the bronze.
The gold medal winning Davao City team are composed of Andrei Joshua Guingguing, Carlos Angelo Lacerna, Victor Gerald Lagundi, Matthaeus Henricus Lim, Breindel Medina, Kian Terrence Niu, Cian Martini Nogadas, and Karl Francis Sumampong.
Adana is very pleased with their win and he vowed that the team will do their best to win the Batang Pinoy national title in October.
