9 thrilling games inside Calinan gymnasium in the 6th week of the HCCC Basketball Alumni Cup 2022

 

On June 19, basketball fans in Calinan, Davao City, were treated to nine thrilling games in the ongoing Holy Cross College of Calinan Basketball Alumni Cup 2022.

The refurbished Calinan gymnasium is the venue of the fully-loaded schedule of games in any amateur basketball league in the Philippines, with nine games on tap.

The basketball wars between HCCC high school graduates started around 10 a.m. as the millennial batches of 2015 and 2022 faced each other on the hardcourt.

The Brotherhood of 2015 used their deep friendship to beat the Red Falcon of 2020 65-56.

With one goal in mind, winning, the Brotherhood eked out an 11-point win over the flightless Red Falcons in their game.

In the second game, an hour later, HCCC batches 2000 and 2003 face each other in a battle of pride and honor.

The Red Horse of 2000 used speed and accuracy to tame and demolish the Wolves of 2000 77-56.

In the third game, HCCC batches 2010 and 2009 test their skills in basketball for pride and honor.

The game between the Hornets of 2010 and Crusaders of 2009 is tight and exciting as both teams are very focused on winning.

After 20 minutes of play, the batch 2010 stung the Crusaders and won by two points, 60-58.

The fourth game saw the face-off between HCCC batches 2018 and 2012.

The Subang team of 2018 proved to be better as they beat the Braders of 2012 68-63.

The 5th game is exciting and retro as the 90s team of batch 1998 and 1992 face each other on the court.

The Sundowners of 1998 teamwork and focus on taming and defeating the Kingsman of 1992 80-47.

The 6th game proved unexciting as batch 1987 won by default over batch 85.

In the seventh game, HCCC batches 2008 and 2001 face each other.

The Brave Aguilas of 2008 overcame the odds and beat the Titans of 2001 62-57.

The Aguilas used their flight to overcome the taller and menacing Titan in their game.

In the second to the last game of the day, HCCC batches 2009 and 2007 face each other for pride and honor.

After 20 minutes of play, the players of 2009 demolish and annihilate the Mambas of 2007 62-36.

In the day's final game, the Space Jam of 2013 faces the Razorbacks of 2011.

With their outside sniping and inside penetrations, 2013 beat 2011 44-34.

The ongoing HCCC Basketball Alumni Cup 2022 is organized by HCCC Batch 1995.

As the organizer of this game, batch 1995 graduates ensure all the games are played well and fairly.

A group of medical personnel is always on standby to help if needed.
