Long-time Barangay 2-A captain Carlos Garcia is a busy bee in public service during "COVID" time

 



In the early stage of COVID in 2019, Barangay 2-A is one of the 182 barangays in Davao City that is very busy protecting and providing for the needs of the residents.

Long-time Barangay 2-A captain Carlos Garcia said during the time of COVID, he provided monthly rice subsidies to his beloved constituents, including non-residents who are just boarders in the boardinghouses in the area.


"Way undang ug hatag ug bugas ang barangay 2-A katong panahon sa COVID," Garcia said.

As barangay captain, Garcia said he made sure his beloved constituents could get all the help they needed during COVID.

He said serving others is one of his passions in life, and he is very happy serving his beloved constituents during crises.

The Barangay Hall of Barangay 2-A is also always open to those who need help, either a resident or not, 24 hours a day and seven times a week.


Garcia, a long-time barangay captain of the barangay, said anyone who needs help can always find aid in his barangay.

"Maski kinsa puede mangayo tabang sa barangay 2-A maski dli residente ug willing ko motabang nila kung naa ko ikabatang," Garcia said.

He said being a barangay captain is a task he takes very seriously since he loves serving his constituents, and he is happy that their trust is still with him many years since he became a barangay chair in their barangay.

Barangay 2-A Barangay Hall is open to the public for assistance 24-7

 




One of the reasons why Barangay 2-A Barangay Captain Carlos Garcia has been elected many times as barangay chairman is his deep heart for those in need.

The Barangay Hall of Barangay 2-A is always open to those who need help, either a resident or not, 24 hours a day and seven times a week.


Garcia, a long-time barangay captain of the barangay, said anyone who needs help can always find aid in his barangay.

"Maski kinsa puede mangayo tabang sa barangay 2-A maski dli residente ug willing ko motabang nila kung naa ko ikabatang," Garcia said.


He said being a barangay captain is a task he takes very seriously since he loves serving his constituents, and he is happy that their trust is still with him many years since he became a barangay chair in their barangay.

Aside from having a soft heart for those in need, Garcia is also a strict and focused barangay official willing to risk his life to protect his barangay from criminals.


Being a former barangay policeman (tanod) and bodyguard, Garcia was not afraid to risk his life in gun duels with criminals.

With his strong stance against criminality and drugs, he cleared his barangay of criminalities and is now safe from crimes.

Garcia's soft heart and brave will drove his beloved constituents to elect him each time he ran in the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay elections.

Long-time Barangay 2-A captain Carlos Garcia is 1st BADAC awardee in DC

 



Unknown to many long-time Barangay 2-1 captain Carlos Garcia is the first Barangay Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) awardee in Davao City.

Garcia got the award in 1996.

The Department of Interior and Local Government awarded the tough-talking barangay captain for his strong stance against illegal drugs.

With the strong effort from Garcia, Barangay 2-A was cleansed from the illegal drug menace.

A strong advocate against illegal drugs, Garcia was not afraid to fight off drug pushers and criminals when he assumed office as barangay chairman in 1994.

Being a former barangay policeman (tanod) and bodyguard, Garcia was not afraid to risk his life in gun duels with criminals.

With his strong stance against criminality and drugs, he cleared his barangay of criminals and is now safe from crimes.

The firm will of Garcia to battle criminals and keep his barangay safe made him a barangay captain for many years until today.

Aside from his strong stance against criminalities, Barangay 2-1, residents loved Garcia due to his benevolent heart for those in need.

Under Garcia's leadership, the barangay hall of 2-A is open to all those who need help.

Long-time Barangay 2-A captain Carlos Garcia has kept criminals at bay in his barangay from the 90s until today

 



In the 1990s, one of the crime-prone barangays in Davao City is Barangay 2-A.

However, in 1994 such an unsavory tag ended when Carlos Garcia assumed as barangay captain of Barangay 2-A.

When he took oath as barangay captain in 1994, one of his main projects of Garcia is to clean his barangay from criminals and hoodlums.

Being a former barangay policeman (tanod) and bodyguard, Garcia was not afraid to risk his life in gun duels with criminals.

With his strong stance against criminality and drugs, he cleared his barangay of criminalities and is now safe from crimes.
