A former star volleyball player of Davao Christian High School is one of the players being eyed to be part of the national volleyball team of the Philippines.

Maddie Madayag, who currently plays for Ateneo de Manila women's volleyball team in the UAAP  as a middle blocker is part of the national training pool for volleyball of the Philippines. Francis Vicente, the coach of the Philippine women's volleyball team selected Madayag to be part of the training pool due to her height and great volleyball talent.

If ever she gets picked Madayag is set to represent the Philippines in the forthcoming Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia later this year. In the just concluded UAAP volleyball finals between Ateneo and De La Salle University, Madayag played well for Ateneo in their championship defeat against DLSU.
