Investment management official says PayPal set to Allow Merchants to Accept Cryptocurrency

The legitimacy of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legitimate monetary currency got a much-needed boost from payment giant Paypal.

Sandi Bragar, a managing director at the investment management firm Aspiriant, recently revealed that Paypal is now exerting efforts to incorporate cryptocurrencies into their business.

In an interview over CNBC, Bragar said Paypal's latest move made the payment giant a favorable stock for investors.

Bragar said the move of Paypal is very significant since she expects more of the cryptocurrencies to become more mainstream in the years ahead.

Last July, it was reported in the media that  PayPal was planning to announce a partnership with New York-based trust company Paxos to handle the supply of crypto assets once it launches cryptocurrency services.
