DAVAO CITY---For the second straight year Nabunturan, Davao de Oro football star Pocholo Arellano Bugas will play professional football for the United City Football Club (UCFC) in the Philippine Football League (PFF) 2021 season.

Bugas signed another contract to play for UCFC in the PFF.

The 18-year-old Bugas told Newsfort that he is very happy to be given the chance to play professional football again this year.

"I'm happy and brought me into new and tough challenges throughout this pandemic," Bugas told this reporter.

With his decision to play professional football again, Bugas said his collegiate plans are also put on hold again.

"I don't have plans for college as of the moment, I'm more focussed on football right now," Bugas added.

Last year, Bugas became the first high school player in the Philippines to play professional football instead of playing in college.

Before his professional debut, Bugas is the UAAP season 82 juniors football most valuable player while playing for Far Eastern University-Diliman high school.

Bugas is one of the top players of FEU in high school and helped the school win many UAAP juniors' football crowns. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
