Barangay Vehicles are a massive help for Barangay Matina Crossing residents

 



One of the most significant projects under the administration of Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City chairman Joel Santes is the acquisition of many vehicles for the barangay.

Under the leadership of Santes, the barangay was able to acquire many vehicles that help the residents in times of emergencies and health emergency situations.


The barangay prides itself on having its own Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) that the residents can use for health emergencies.

If a resident of Matina Crossing needs quick medical attention, the PTV is a valuable help for them.

The barangay also has a firetruck and other emergency and rescue vehicles.


Since becoming a barangay captain for Matina Crossing, Santes has always strived hard to give what was best for his beloved constituents

The medical assistance desk is a huge help for Barangay Matina Crossing residents

 



The decision of Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City officials, to put up a  medical desk is a massive help for the residents.

Barangay Matina Crossing chairman Joel Santes put up the desk to assist and help his constituents who need medical help.

If a resident needs financial help for medical purposes, he or she just needs to go to the desk and ask for assistance.

The desk officer assigned for the day will guide the resident on how to get his or her request.


Aside from offering medical assistance, the desk will also aid residents in how to get burial assistance for their departed loved ones.

Since he became a barangay captain many years back, medical and health services have been one of the top priorities of his administration.

Through the help of the city government, the congressional office in the first district, and the PBA party list, Santes was able to help facilitate many medical missions in his barangay.

Santes decided to focus on health and services as barangay captain because he knew it was essential and beneficial for his constituents.

A monthlong celebration for the 63rd founding celebration of Barangay Matina Crossing

 


To celebrate the 63rd founding anniversary of Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City, the barangay led by chairman Joel Santes has prepared a long list of activities for the residents.

With the theme "Padayon, Pag Uswag pa Barangay", Santes and the barangay council prepared various programs that benefits the 50 puroks in the b LParangay.


The celebration started with a Eucharistic Mass last September 8, followed by a Women's Zumba that same day.

Santes and the barangay council also organized various sports tournaments, such as bowling, volleyball, and basketball, among others.

The senior, women's, and pwd sectors were also given a chance to shine in various contests, such as singing and dancing.


A bread and pastry training was also held that benefits women in Barangay Matina Crossing.

The LGBTQ community was also given the chance to shine in volleyball tournaments and beauty and skills training.

Last September 16, a jobs fair was also conducted at the Barangay Hall that benefitted a lot of jobless residents.

The Culmination of the founding celebration of Matina Crossing will be held on September 28 at the barangay hall.

Santes told the Latest Davao News the various activities for the founding celebration are a yearly affair to bring joy and benefits to the residents.
