To celebrate the 63rd founding anniversary of Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City, the barangay led by chairman Joel Santes has prepared a long list of activities for the residents.
With the theme "Padayon, Pag Uswag pa Barangay", Santes and the barangay council prepared various programs that benefits the 50 puroks in the b LParangay.
The celebration started with a Eucharistic Mass last September 8, followed by a Women's Zumba that same day.
Santes and the barangay council also organized various sports tournaments, such as bowling, volleyball, and basketball, among others.
The senior, women's, and pwd sectors were also given a chance to shine in various contests, such as singing and dancing.
A bread and pastry training was also held that benefits women in Barangay Matina Crossing.
The LGBTQ community was also given the chance to shine in volleyball tournaments and beauty and skills training.
Last September 16, a jobs fair was also conducted at the Barangay Hall that benefitted a lot of jobless residents.
The Culmination of the founding celebration of Matina Crossing will be held on September 28 at the barangay hall.
Santes told the Latest Davao News the various activities for the founding celebration are a yearly affair to bring joy and benefits to the residents.
