The selection of Alvin Pasaol in the PBA draft in 2021 has been a source of joy and inspiration to the athletes and residents of Barangay Sasa.
As a Barangay Sasa resident, many of his neighbors were very happy with his selection in the PBA.
The current local officials of Barangay Sasa are also pleased and proud of the achievement of Pasaol since his selection in the biggest professional basketball league in the Philippines is an indication that the sports program of Barangay Sasa is solid and effective.
What makes the selection of Pasaol in the PBA a source of inspiration is that he is getting playing minutes in the oldest professional basketball league in Asia, unlike other basketball stars who were selected in the PBA who come from the province and get little or no playing time.
Since the incumbent officials of Barangay Sasa assumed office in 2018, they have prioritized focusing on sports to promote a healthy lifestyle among their constituents.

The decision of the PBA party to do the opening in Sasa also indicates that the sports program of Barangay Sasa is working well.
The barangay officials have initiated the construction of various gyms in Barangay Sasa to be used in sports and social events.
They also offer prizes and support to various sports leagues in the different puroks in Barangay Sasa.
