Barangay Maa chairman Pacito Canete Jr. prioritized peace and order in his administration when elected in 2018.
Canete told Latest Davao News that when he assumed office in 2018 as barangay captain, he prioritized focusing on peace and order since riots and crimes are prevalent in his barangay.
Being a retired policeman, Canete goes tough against rioters and criminals to stop them from creating chaos and violence in his barangay.
"Kailangan isog dyud ka dili puede magbinayot ka," Canete said.
He said due to his tough stance against crimes, many criminals fled.
He added that he also decided to provide financial and livelihood support to rioters to stop them from creating trouble in Barangay Maa.
To keep the peace and order in Barangay Maa, he also ordered his barangay policemen to regularly conduct roving operations to keep criminals and troublemakers at bay.
