Misamis Occidental – In a remarkable initiative to engage the youth during summer vacation, Asenso Misamis Occidental is offering a free chess clinic for children across the province. The one-month summer camp aims to foster strategic thinking and mental discipline through the classic game of chess.
The chess clinic will be accessible in three key cities: Ozamiz, Oroquieta, and Tangub. These venues have been carefully chosen to ensure maximum participation and convenience for the children and their families.
The sessions will be held at:
Naomi’s Garden, Ozamiz
Layawan Covered Court, Oroquieta
Sta Cruz Covered Court, Tangub, under the supervision of Kapitan Arturo Rivera
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children to the nearest venue for an opportunity to learn and enhance their chess skills. The camp is designed to cater to beginners as well as those who have some experience with the game.
Tutors assigned to each area will provide guidance and training. Interested participants should contact the tutors in their respective locations for more information and to register their children for this enriching summer activity.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Asenso Misamis Occidental to the development and well-being of its younger residents, providing them with constructive and educational activities during the summer break.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
