DJA Beat Emar In 2017 GG Cup

The dream of Davao Jones Academy (DJA) Spunky to win the basketball crown in the 2017 Gaisano Grand Cup Season 15 is off to a flying start.
DJA beat the tough Emar Human and Environmental College (Ehec) Red Stags, 76-74 over the weekend at the Gaisano Grand Citimall Sky Gym.
DJA leaned on the 19 points, eight rebounds, two steals and five asissts performance of Reynald Juy Soliven to win their opening game in the longest running youth cagefest in Davao City.
The road to the championship of DJA will not easy since they need to get past basketball powerhouses Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) Blue Knights and Assumption College of Davao (ACD) Warriors in their bracket.
Despite the odds, DJA coach Jimmy Colicot his confident his team can win it all this year.
Meanwhile, Jayson Espinosa scored a game high 36 points most of whom from beyond the arc to lead Ehec in a losing cause.
