Lumacad Loses Christmas Day Match In Malaysia

Davaoeno Mixed Martial Arts fighter Benjie Lumacad is ending 2016 on a sad note.

This developed after Lumacad loses to Isroiljon Rasulov of Uzbekistan via referee stoppage in the first round of the semi-finals showdown of the One Silat Championship 2016 Road To Glory held last December 25 at the Nicol David Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The end for Lumacad came in two minutes and 37 seconds of action after his favored opponent pound him to submission. Lumacad tried to use his trademark over head punch but it did not hurt his opponent who instead attacked and brought him to the ground.

Lumacad's manager Paolo Tancontian said prior to his match, Lumacad had to sweat out four kilograms of excess weight in just four hours to reach the accurate weight before the weigh-in.

Lumacad is sad with his loss but he vowed to train even harder to win his next MMA match.
