Davao City Durians Secondary Baseball Team Loses 1st Game in Davraa

The dream of the Davao City secondary boys' baseball team to win the gold medal in the Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa) Meet
2018 at the Calinan National High School grounds is off to a flat start on Friday.
The home team Davao City Durians fell to Davao del Norte, 3-4 in their opening game.
Despite their loss, Davao City Durians coach Eric Gauran is still confident they can still get the gold by winning their next game.
In the other games in the secondary baseball competition,  Davao Oriental demolished Panabo City, 12-2.
Meanwhile, in the secondary  girls softball over at the University of Mindanao (UM) field in Matina, the  Davao Occidental, Compostela Valley and Mati City were the winners in the first day of the event.
Davao Occidental beat Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos), 14-1, while Compostela Valley (Comval) edged Davao del Norte, 3-2. Mati City also escaped past Digos City, 5-4.
