San Beda Beats Holy Child of Davao In 32nd SBP Passerelle Basketball Tournament National Finals

The dream of Holy Child of Davao (HCCD) Reds to win the crown in the 32nd SBP Passerelle Basketball
Tournament National Finals in  Cebu Coliseum is off to a rough start.
HCCD was clobbered by San Beda College-Rizal 48-88 in the Passerelle (15-Under) division. Price Ray Alao finished with 16 points for San Beda College, while teammates
Antonio Lledo III, Naz Gabrielle San Juan, and John Elbert Lopez each handed nine points. San Beda had an eight-point lead
after the first frame before they broke away with a 14-2 run capped by a steal and an uncontested layup by Sebastian Troy
Valencia to make it 36-16 midway through the second quarter. San Beda did not look back from there and maintained a
solid lead throughout the third quarter before erecting the gap to 40 points at the end of the game.
HCCD got the slot to nationals finals after they beat the visiting Corpus Christi School of Cagayan de Oro City, 70-63, in last Sunday's finals of the
Best Center-organized 32nd Milo Passerelle-SBP Regional Finals held at the newly-refurbished Rizal Memorial Colleges Fil Oil Flying V Arena.
