The 10 and under team A of Southshield FC won their division in the recent DD'S Christmas Football Festival at the Tiongko football field along Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City.
The team coached by former University of Mindanao football player Roland Manabit beat Medvil Football Club in the finals 2-0 to win the crown and medals in the footballfest.
Southshield FC strikers Enzo Trinidad and Art Eroy provided the winning goals for the team in the championship game.
The win is sweet for Southshield FC since Medvil earlier beat them in the elimination round.
The team also played inspired since four of their star players will be moving up in the 12 and under team next year.
The players who will play in the higher division next year are Charles Chiu, Niel Imperial, Zyk Lopez and James Gamite.
The players also wanted to make their 10 and under coach happy before they moved up in the higher division next year.
Dr. Coco Trinidad, the father of Enzo Trinidad is very proud and happy for his son for providing one of the two winning goals for the team.
The other members of the champion team are the following: Yuan Guingguing, Anthony Elorde, Jian Goyonan and Karlos Donado.
The year 2017 is a great year for Southshield FC as the team won various football tournaments in various parts of Mindanao.
