DAVAO CITY---The Philippine Sports Commission on Wednesday said some 1,400 individuals are set to join their Webinar on Preservation of Culture and Heritage through Indigenous Sports and Games at around 1 p.m. via zoom on October 31.
In the Facebook live program of PSC, PSC Commissioner Charles Raymond A Maxey expressed great joy over the long number of persons who expressed intention to join the webinar conducted in connection with the celebration of IP month in October.
"Nagpapasalamat tayo sa dami ng sasali sa gaganaping webinar ngayong Sabado," Maxey said.
Due to the expected huge number of participants, Maxey just called on the public who wish to join to just view the event on the official FB page of PSC.
Maxey said the webinar seeks to promote the Indigenous Sports and Games of the IP community.
The resource speakers of the event are Prof. Henry Daut, Philippine Sports Institute, Marie Lourie C. Victor, DepEd's IP Education Office, and Prof. Madonna Castro-Gonzales of the National Council for Physical Educators of the Philippines (NCPEP).
"This webinar is important as a tool to preserve our IP culture and heritage," he said. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
