For the past many years, motorcycle races have made Barangay Magtuod, Maa, and Davao City residents happy, particularly during the time of former Barangay captain Romeo Torejas.
Romeo Torejas said during his time as barangay captain, one of the things he initiated was the conduct of motorcycle racing, especially during the Araw ng Magtuod festivity.
Torejas said as a motorcycle enthusiast, he made it a point to organize the races to make his constituents happy.
"Before anang mga motorcycle races sa ubang barangay sa Davao ako nagsugod ana," Torejas said.
He said he decided to organize the motorcycle races because it makes the people happy.
Torejas, seeking his old post in this year's Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan election on October 30, vows to bring back motorcycle races in his barangay if luck is on his side in this year's election.
"Ibalik nako ang ka alegre sa Barangay Magtuod pinaai nianing mga motorcycle races," Torejas added.
