Team Jhun Duray had a busy day on the 1st day of the BSKE campaign in Barangay Catalunan Pequeno

The candidates under the banner of Jhun Duray, who is running for barangay captain in Catalunan Pequeno, Davao City, had a busy day on the first day of the campaign in the barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan Election on October 30.

On October 19, Duray, an incumbent barangay councilor of Catalunan Pequeno, did not waste any precious moment and went to work in the campaign by conducting a motorcade and handshaking in various puroks in his barangay.

As he officially started his campaign for the top government position in Barangay Catalunan Pequeno, Duray called on the people to unite against whoever wins the barangay captain race.

Duray said if ever he won, he would offer his hand of friendship to the loser, and if he lost, he would also wholeheartedly support the candidate chosen by the people of Barangay Catalunan Pequeno.

He said what matters is that there is unity after the elections.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian Baste Duterte has endorsed the candidacy of Jhun Duray as barangay captain in the forthcoming Barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan election on October 30.

Baste made the endorsement because he believes Barangay Catalunan Pequeno is in good hands if Duray wins as barangay's chairman.

Earlier,  Davao City's first district congressman, Pulong Duterte, the elder brother of Baste, also expressed support for the barangay captain bid of Duray.

Since being elected as barangay councilor in 2012, Duray has made it a point to help Barangay Catalunan Pequeno residents by himself if the need arises 24/7.

Unlike other officials, Duray is willing to do the dirty work or leg work despite his status as an elected official just to ensure the one who needs help will get the aid he or she needs.

Take the case of the recent participation of the Catalunan Pequeno National High School in the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan contest organized by the city government of Davao for the Kadayawan celebration last August.

Duray not only provided logistics and financial aid to the participants but also personally carried their props to the trucks they would use to transport their props and equipment for the street dancing contest.

The benevolent heart of Duray was rewarded as CPNH won second place in the contest.

With the valuable help Duray provided, the CPNH is very grateful for his benevolent heart.
