Despite less sleep, Barangay Dumoy captain Jessie Mar Culaste is happy to protect and provide needs of residents in "COVID" time

 


Now that the fear of the dreaded disease COVID has subsided around the world, long-time Barangay Dumoy captain Jessie Mar Culaste revealed that the peak of COVID in 2019 it is one of the most challenging days of his life as a barangay captain.

Culaste said during the early days of COVID in 2019, he had less sleep with his barangay functionaries since they always stayed at the barangay hall to provide all the assistance they could give his beloved constituents.

He said aside from providing food and financial assistance to the Barangay Dumoy residents, they also enforced all the COVID regulations to prevent his beloved constituents from getting inflicted with COVID.


Culaste said that despite the sleepless night, they were pleased that they could provide all the residents' needs during that time, such as finances and food packs, regardless of their political affiliations.

"Dili perfect ang systema pero happy ko nga nahatag dyud namo ang needs sa mga residente katong COVID time," Culaste said.

The deep heart of Culaste for public service endeared him to his constituents.


Regardless of the situation, Culaste would always do his best to serve Barangay Dumoy residents at all times.

Despite his position as barangay chairman, Culaste still practices his profession as a dentist by doing free dental work for the 28 puroks in Barangay Dumoy.
