One of the highest forms of respect, love, and admiration is handing out a bouquet of flowers to someone.
The group of Persons with Disabilities (PWD)s just did that to Barangay Sasa captain Jerry Licarte.
The PWDs in Barangay Sasa gave Licarte a bouquet of flowers as a form of gratitude, love, and respect for the wondrous things he did for their group.
Since assuming as the head of government official of Barangay Sasa, Licarte has prioritized supporting and creating worthwhile projects for the PWDs in his beloved barangay.
"I have my 100% support of the PWD from the start," Licarte said.
With the help of other barangay officials and functionaries, Licarte organized the PWDs by chapter to ensure they could get all the support they could get in their areas.
Licarte also attended the oath-taking ceremonies of the PWD chapters and clusters to instill in them that he was always behind them.
The action-oriented barangay captain of Sasa also initiated livelihood training for the PWDs to ensure they can earn money despite their physical condition.
He also regularly extends ayuda or government aid to these groups.
Last July 17-23, 2023, during the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, Licate also lent vehicles and food to the group.
On Aug 10,2023, a PWD General Assembly will be conducted, and the Licarte plans to offer food and prices to the event.
A singing & dance contest and parlor games will also be held during the event, and the prizes will be provided by Licarte.
Moreover, Licarte also made sure every Pwd federation meeting, he was always there to lend support.
