Being an environmentalist, Catalunan Pequeno two-time barangay councilor Jhun Duray hopes to plant more trees to provide shade and protection to the residents if he gets the chance to be elected as its next barangay captain.
Duray said clean and green is one of the top agendas of his administration if he gets elected as barangay captain since he believes protecting the environment is an integral part of a community.
"There are still a lot of areas in Catalunan Pequeno where we can plant more trees for fresh air," Duray said.
He said since he became a barangay councilor, he had advocated for the Jaguars of Catalunan Pequeno to plant trees.
Aside from the environment, Duray said being a former chairman of the committee on peace and order, peace, and order will also be one of the top priorities under his administration if he wins.
He said he would hire more barangay policemen (tanods) to roam around the 26 puroks of Catalunan Pequeno to ensure that no crimes will be committed against his beloved constituents.
He added that every purok also has their own tanods to keep the peace and order.
Duray said he also plans to buy more service vehicles for the barangay if luck permits, and he wins as barangay chairman of Barangay Catalunan Pequeno.
The service-oriented barangay official said he hopes to buy more fire trucks and rescue vehicles for the people of Catalunan Pequeno.
Moreover, Duray also pledged to spend more time with his people as barangay captain to know their needs first hand just like what he was doing while he was still the chairman of the peace and order committee of the barangay council.
